The Crowell Library staff has limited capacity to work with faculty or student groups on joint special events.

• The library hosts only one or at most two events per semester
• Event length: 1 hour (preferred) or 2 hours (maximum)
• Events must be consistent with Moody’s mission, values, and statement of faith
• Event requests must be submitted to the library at least 10 business days prior to the proposed event date. Approval must be received before promotion begins
• Events must be sponsored by a recognized student organization, academic department, or faculty/staff member.

Possible areas of cooperation include some, but rarely all of the below:

• Meeting space
  • Student Lounge or lobby on first floor
  • Meeting rooms or library classroom on lower level
• Assistance with publicity
• • The library may be able to provide copies of posters
  • On rare occasions, library staff may be able to create a poster
• Event management assistance
  • The library may be able to provide student employee assistance for staffing event tables, directing participants, etc.
  • In most cases, cooperating faculty or student groups will plan and lead events
•  Modest refreshments
  • Depending on budget availability, the library may, in some cases, be able to provide light refreshments.

Interested faculty or student group leaders may contact the library with ideas or proposals for joint events at library@moody.edu. Library staff will then meet with leaders to discuss workable options.
